Book Review - Minds @ Work 2

When you love be it writing, reading, listening associated with poems getting this book as a gift from a friend Rohan, is amazing and having another friend Renu, as a co-author adds to the happiness. But when you end up being friends with an amazing poet and an equally wonderful person Janaki, it’s icing on the cake.

About the Author

An Anthology of poems. Literature and literary books are very hard to find these days but First Step Publishing has gathered some interesting talent. This book had a tough time assembling writers selecting 25 Poets out of the 300+ entries received. The Selected writers truly deserve applause and deserve enough to be a part of Minds @ Work 2. Poets coming from all walks of life, Doctors, Engineers, Bankers, Students, Home makers, previously published poets and many to be published for the first time.

My Thoughts

I am fascinated about poems from the time I can remember understanding them. I always say that I am a poet at heart and all my writings will always have some rhyme and rhythm, even the most prosaic ones. So when I read this book I could see the poems come alive in front of eyes. I could easily read between the lines and truly admire the thought and effort the poets have taken and woven these beautiful poems. The best part is most of them are in very simple vocabulary which make them very easy to understand.

The only put off is different use of fonts for different poems and uneven synchronization of author’s bio. But that doesn't take away anything from the quality of the book, worth a read.

Fruit Verdict
It is like a orange, every slice has its own unique flavor.
